Good, cheap entry level dehydrator
I purchased this unit, not being sure if I wanted to get into dehydrating or not. I did not know if it would be too much trouble to do, or the results would not be worth the work. This unit is quiet, and will dry 4 apples sliced 1/4 inch thick (about 8 slices) in about 8 hours, here in Tucson, Arizona. The plastic trays stack on top of each other, and have several shallow notches around the sides that little projections from the bottom of the above tray fit in. This arrangement is a little bit fiddly to put together, but seems to be adequate. Compared to the prices of other machines, I feel that it is an ok player. I use it about every other day since I got it about 6 weeks ago. I also have dehydrated canned sliced pineapple and that has turned out well. I will continue to use it until it expires, whenever that may be, as I learn more about dehydrating.
Favorite food dryer!
I have tried a LOT of fruit and vegetable dryers but this one is the best. The constant rotation dries pretty evenly top to bottom. I still rotate the racks as the bottom dries faster but love that it is so fast. I'll never buy one that is stationery again.
