Keurig B50 Gourmet Single-Cup Brewing System

An amazing little brewing system for your countertop
I recently purchased the Keurig B50 to take to work. I was looking for something that I could have in my office to make coffee at any time of the work day and that would dispense hot water for my cup-o-noodles. This machine fit the bill.

When researching what machine to purchase, I looked at a lot of the pod single serve machines. I immediately discounted the Senseo and Black and Decker because they seemed so cheap and flimsy when I tested them in the store. I looked at the Keurig B50 at William Sonoma and liked the sturdiness and simple design.

It came down to the Keurig or the Bunn My Cafe. In the Bunn's favor was that the cup size could be adjustable in one oz. increments, which the Keurig doesn't do. But the Bunn was more expensive, and in the end I felt that the K-cups stayed fresher and had a neater clean up, which is a must since it would on my desk at work. So I ordered it from Amazon which had the best price I could find (I paid $125).

Makes Absolutely The Best Coffee Ever!! Highly Recommended!
I am a coffeeholic. I love the feel of caffeine rushing through my system, especially first thing in the morning. Few pleasures are better than the taste and smell of a superbly brewed cup of Java. Last year I purchased a Cuisinart 12 cup Brew Central coffee maker and I love it. I usually buy an excellent blend of beans from a gourmet shop, or when I really want to treat myself, I will grind some Jamaican Blue Mountain, or Hawaiian Kona coffee. Now, the reader may very well wonder why I am spilling the beans about my coffee drinking habits. Well, it is to demonstrate that I have discerning tastes when it comes to my favorite beverage - and that I am willing to cut back monetarily on other food and beverage items to get the best.

Other than first thing in the morning, when I want/need 2 large mugs, I really only want an occasional cup during the day. And I want it to be steaming hot and fresh. What I will turn down in a New York minute is a beverage that has been sitting...

Disappointed
I recently bought the B60, which essentially is the same as the B50. I am mainly a tea drinker, and was excited about the ability to make tea by the touch of a button. While the customer service and tea/coffee selection are both excellent, I was disappointed with both the tea and the coffee brewed with this machine. At the most concentrated setting (6oz), I found even the tea to be too weak, and somewhat inconsistent from cup to cup, clearly inferior to a regular tea bag. The extra bold coffee that is now available, also produce a cup that is too weak for my taste, although Green Mountain comes close with their new selection. Having said that, everything else about this machine is excellent - it's fun to use, it looks good, and performs flawlessly. Regardless, I'm going back to using tea bags - this is not the machine for someone looking for a good cup of tea.

Perfect Rice in 20 minutes
I've had this rice cooker for several months now and I just love it. I mostly use the quick rice setting, which honestly is not quick like others but takes a good 20-25 min. The rice comes out perfect and the best part is you just pop it in and forget about it. Other rice cookers I have used will cook the rice in less time but will also burn the bottom or leave this super thin layer of rice (paper?) along the bottom and sides of the rice. No issues like that here. It's cute and compact and easy to travel with if you're cooking at a friend's house. Makes enough rice to serve 4-6 adult sized portions when filled to the top (I'm single so this is great for leftovers!). Haven't tried the other functions yet, but am excited to see what they do! Oh, and clean up is super easy which is always a plus.

I'd give this a 5, but there is no support outside of Japan. Works perfectly once you trial and error your way through it.

It did the work!
I loved the convenience of it mixing and pounding however it took me a while to figure the instructions out. I needed help to interpret the instructions in Japanese. Other than that, the quality was great. It was shipped automatically from Abroad and made it within a week!

Norpro Nonstick Mini Waffle Pan

Not your usual waffle grill.
This is NOT your regular waffle grill, but it piqued my interest. Prime the grill with a non-stick spray and pre-heat, pour your batter and flip when the top no longer looks wet and give it a good flattening with a turner to imprint the "waffle" on the other side.
It's a nicely constructed heavy weight grill for it's little size and it heated evenly even with the thick banana and chocolate chip batter I tried with it for the first run. Partly due to the thick batter, the waffles turned out to be like a waffle/pancake mix. It was a challenge to flip, but doable and I'm sure with practice it will become easier.
This little grill may not appeal to all as both sides will not come out as crisp and even as a regular waffle maker, but I like it and it's compact size.

Pros:

It blends. I can make protein shakes with this blender. Cheap.

Cons:

Does not clean itself. Does not make my drinks for me.

Great affordable blender
This blender was a replacement for the Hamilton we used for 20 years, This Oster is much quieter than the the Hamilton. Others had review a simplifier model as loud but this is a pleasure to use.

Pros; Affordable, light, quite, easy to clean and quick. (we use it mostly for smoothies)
Cons; not the most powerful but sufficient for what we use it for.

I have recommended this model to a friend

7.75 Inch Food Mill with 3 Stainless Steel Blades by Acea

a great cooking gadget
Have used this for a number of years and love it. Much easier to use and also to clean than the more expensive food mills. Gave this as a gift to my daughter.

better than nothing.
In the past, Ive used strainers and wooden spoons to strain cranberries and tomatoes.

This is better than that method, but still not great. I would consider this a mild improvement over using a colander.

Mine does not spin or work properly
This is my first food mill, but I just watched a video on how a food mill is supposed to work. The metal on metal sticks and is nearly impossible to spin most of the time. The peg on the circular rotating plate comes out of the hole that is supposed to hold it in place. This disaster of a gadget is going in the trash.

Good little travel frig.
I bought this to put in my Sprinter when traveling with dogs as it plugs into the cigarette lighter. It worked just fine and when I got to the dog show hotel, just brought it inside and used the regular AC plug in room and saved the $15 the hotel wanted to charge to put a frig in the room. Good deal.

Killer Protection, but you can't have everything!
First this unit has great cosmetic appeal & wow factor due to the display. The unit does what it is intended to do maintains line voltage it also has a back up feature which could save your Blu-ray player from a uninterrupted power loss during firmware updates. I'm very pleased with the performance for my Home theater. Now the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the noise from the fan running constantly it is noticeable in a normal quiet room. I did lose power one time the alarms on the unit went off scared the wife 1/2 to death but the units back up battery system took over and my system never lost power. I do sleep a little better at night knowing Tripp Lite's protection warranty has my back covered.

searched high and low
I researched for a few months before finally deciding on a juicer. After looking at a number of different brands and different types of juicers that were within my price range, I decided to go with this one which has worked out fairly well. I will say however due to the way the plastic pieces were molded they do scrap and you MIGHT find plastic pieces atleast for the first couple rounds of juicing but it will clear up. I had actually called the company about that issue and they sent me replacement pieces, just call early morning, otherwise you might be on hold for a WHILE.
If you intend to do alot of leafy greens, this is a good juicer for it. Otherwise, if you're just looking at juicing hard fruits/veggies I would go with a faster paced juicer.

Since this came with the wheatgrass kit I guess I will comment on that as well. It was great having all the needed pieces parts to begin the process of growing wheatgrass, however, I will say watch out for the white mold, there...

AMAZING!
I've been juicing for about 10 years. This thing is life changing!!! I just received it yesterday and I've made coconut cream, tomato/cilantro juice, green juice and carrot apple juice. The pulp comes out SUPER dry compared to the powerjuicer I was using (centrifugal)- so I'm saving money in produce right off the bat. The single auger is perfect for me. Clean up is FAST. The parts are heavy-duty & well made. I researched this juicer for a few weeks before purchasing and you tube has awesome recipes as well as demos of it. Amazon had the best deal. I'm impressed with this company and their first class customer service.
I have my organic wheatgrass seeds sprouting and the should be ready to plant tomorrow! -The kit comes with everything & MORE. The book that comes with it rocks. Everything I need to know.
I'll update this review as soon as I complete my first tray of wheatgrass. So far, I love my purchase!

Great Juicer for the price
This juicer does everything well. Doesn't waste a lot of fruit or veges like some other juices on the market where the start up cost is low but you end up paying more out of pocket with loads of fruits/veges (of which 50% goes to trash as a biproduct of the juicer). . It turns wheatgrass, watermelon, spinach, other leafy greens into pure juice with a pinch of dry pulp. It creates a small amount of foam when juicing apples. All fruits need to be cut in small pieces because of the narrow shoot.
Cleanup is super easy. 5 minutes and you are done. This juicer is great. Health is wealth! start juicing and see the results for yourself.

The Mia Infustion Grill and Vertical Roaster

Infuses amazing flavors into food
It really works!! I infused mustard and beer flavor into my bratwurst. It was delicious!! The flavor combinations are endless!! You could use any liquid, I have used wine, beer, soy sauce, broth, fruit juice, butter, salad dressing and smoking chips. This is a great product.

Amazing Grill!!! It really works
I have had this grill for about a month now and I use it all the time. It really does put the flavor of your choice into the food and the food remains moist. We like well done foods especially with mad cow disease, so I make sure to over cook and the meat is tender and moist. Even smoked salmon is moist.

It's worked great...
We've had this rice pot for several years now (I think four?) and the only thing I wish is that it held more rice for our family. Other than that, it's been good and I haven't had a problem with it. It's a little hard to clean, but overall, not bad for the price.

Has worked fine for me
I haven't had any problems with this cooker.

My only complaint was that there was not enough room inside to store the included measuring cup, steaming tray and the power cord.

Simple solutions:
- keep cord plugged into the wall (and put cooker away)
- replace original measuring cup with a lower-profile one

It is a good rice cooker for its price.
I like it much better than my old one, which dries up and wastes a lot of rice. It is so inexpensive and perfect for my college children.

RoadPro 800 Watt 12 Volt Car Inverter w/ 12-Cup Coffee Maker Package

Product simply does not work
The coffee pot itself works if you plug it into a standard 120v ac wall outlet

Less wattage items work with the inverter (although my 400w inverter powers higher wattage items than this 800w)

If you plug the coffee pot into the included inverter, it trips it immediately and will not power the coffee maker, which is the entire point of the inverter/coffee maker 'package'.

FINALLY....... They send a 800w inverter, and the coffee pot is 850w. Perhaps THIS is the problem?

Makes the mind wonder....

Ultrex Pack 'n Save Vacuum Sealer

You get what you pay for
I bought this thinking "hmmm this could be a great deal". When I got it out of the box and actually tried to use it, I realized what a pile of junk it really is.

Issue #1 - If you try to seal a bag on the lowest heat setting for more than 1.5 seconds you put holes in the bag (I found this to be true with the bags that came with the device)

Issue #2 - Using the vacuum is a hit and miss experience. You really have to make sure that everything is perfectly aligned to get the vacuum to actually work right

Issue #3 - You have to apply pressure to the left of the device to vacuum seal a bag; however, if you want to heat seal the bag you have to hold down the right side of the device. If you want to do either you still have to hold down both sides of the device. While trying to use the vacuum I found myself setting the heat sealer off, thus making sure I could no longer use the vacuum on the bag.

Conclusion: This is a POORLY designed...

This product is a peice of s*** it was broke right out of the box it took like 9 days to get here when it was only between 3 to 5 days shipping it sucked some of the air out not like it should now one good thing I will say about it is it sealed the bag but I would not waste your money not telling you what to do but dont make the same mistake I did and think thay $15 is a great deal in life u get what you pay for

Vacuum Sealer works well. Was purchased for sealing grains for home brewing as it is cheaper to buy them in bulk. Does exactly the job it was designed for.

Electric Hot H20 1-1/2-liter Cordless Water Kettle 1200 watt

My first one leaked, but the company stood behind their product
The first one of these that I bought worked great at heating water but leaked out the bottom, the first day I used it. I had thrown the packaging away, so I ordered a replacement from Amazon, so I would have the materials to return the first. The second one I received also leaked, and since I was still without a set of packaging, I decided to try my luck with calling the company. They were great. A person in California answered the phone as soon as I called and immediately shipped a replacement to me. She said that Amazon must have a bad batch of them, apologized profusely for the problem, and took the information down to remedy the situation with Amazon.

Amazon has since pulled their inventory of this item and is directing people to buy it from other sellers. I think that Amazon will get new (non-leaking) stock of this kettle, and that you can buy it with confidence once they start selling them again, as that will be the sign that they have replaced their inventory...

Definitely do not last long!
When I first got this tea pot. It did shut off automatically after boiling. But that last for just several times of usage. Then later it would keep boiling unless it was shut off manually. I thought about returning it. But the seller said I can only exchange it and I have to pay for the shipping. It didn't worth for the exchanging at all. Plus, I didn't use it frequently, besides, I am always beside it when I use it. so I just got used to turn it off manually every time I use it.

But that didn't last long, today it caused a disaster to my office. There was water all over my desk. All the papers were wet. And a strong strong burning smell all over the room. I was just outside for less than twenty minutes. I am just glad it didn't cause any fire to burn down the whole office. I am regretting not returning it.

So for the safety, please stay away from this pot. It won't last long!

4oz Red Popcorn Maker Machine by Paramount - New Full Size 4 oz Popper & Cart

THIS IS A GREAT MACHINE
My wife gave me this machine for Christmas, although she made me do all of the research on the internet. THIS IS A GREAT MACHINE!! It is very well made, its easy to assemble and a snap to use and clean. I highly recommend this machine to anyone who likes theater style popcorn and likes to impress their kids or grandkids. I am now a hero to all of my grandkids and even a few friends that come over to watch movies every now and then. You can't go wrong with this machine(It also looks cool sitting in my den next to the TV)!

It might be nice to have heating coils instead of just a heat lamp to keep the popped corn hot, but if this is important to you, get the six ounce model for only a few dollars more. Usually, we eat it so fast that it doesn't matter.

My four ounce model pops enough corn for four people with each popping and you can pop another kettle full imediately if you need more. The six year warrenty is great, but this machine is so well made that I...

A Quality Popcorn Maker Machine
First, a little background. I am a popcorn fanatic. I don't just like popcorn, I LOVE it! Imagine my surprise when two fairly large boxes were delivered to my home via FedEx. Turns out that my wife had purchased the Deluxe 4oz Red Popcorn Maker Machine by Paramount Entertainment. It was too large to discretely put under the tree, so I opened it. The base comes in one carton and the popper in another. All items were very well packaged in sturdy containers. This was my first indication that this company takes pride in their products. Unpacking the top popper unit was a snap. Everything was well protected. The whole unit is well constructed. The popping kettle is heavy weight. The stirring rod and kettle support are easy to install and you're ready to go. Of course I had to pop the first batch to snack on while I assembled the cart. My wife also purchased a supply of pop corn. (Case (24) of 4 Ounce Great Northern Popcorn Portion Packs) I did read the manual and the first batch popped up...

Everything it says it is
We are very pleased with our popcorn machine. It works better with the 6oz packets even though it is a 4oz machine. We recently used it to make all the popcorn for our drive in movie at our campsite of nearly 100 golfcarts most of which bought popcorn. We had no trouble keeping up, and the popcorn tasted just like the movie theater kind.

Meseta CREM03 Cremaccino, Black

Great product, did not stay that way
The Meseta is a wonderful cremaccino. I bought it mainly to make latte's and occasional capuciono;s. I live by myself so the use it one a day at max.
At first it was great, with 1% milk (had heard from my kids to use low fat milk for a frothier milk) I got a nice thick mass for the capuchin and a little froth on the milkier latte. Always good and warm.
After 3 months (bought it on December 31) it does not get foamy at all for a latte, not warm enough, more like luke warm milk. The machine shakes a little on the counter.
If there are people out there with the same problem who have solved this, I would like to know them.

I bought this for $ 49.95. My kids all have Nespressino's with the attached frothers. Buying those separately I saw them the other day for a little more than 59.00. Ten dollars for that product does not seem so bad.

Rival 1-Quart Gel Canister Ice Cream Maker

like a bad love affair....
I received my Rival ice cream maker as a Christmas present and it was love at first sight. Of course, being the dead of winter, I didn't use it much until the following Spring. However, by July, it began to over-heat before finishing a simple vanilla. I probably got six uses out of that sucker before it began having 'issues'. What started as mutual admiration ended in bitter recriminations.

Works well if you use it properly
I have had this model for several years. I use it about once a month, and it has not given me any trouble. It does not freeze ice cream hard (if it did, the dasher would not be able to turn - duh); After 20 -30 minutes of churning, when a soft-serve texture has developed, I generally transfer the ice cream into a lidded plastic container, and let it set up in the freezer. It's important to cool your custard in the refrigerator (I set mine, covered, on the back porch in the wintertime) before pouring it into the canister. The motor is a bit noisy (not as bad as a blender of a food processor). The cleanup is easy because the motor, clear plastic cover, and dasher all come apart and a quick rinse with warm water is usually all that is necessary. Also use warm water to clean the cannister, and wipe it out quickly so that the water doesn't freeze on it. Don't freeze it upside down; you want the gel distributed in the bottom of the canister, (I learned this the hard way)and cover the top...

i have no idea what the deal is with the other reviews-i adore this product!!-you cannot leave it unattended though because the ice cream gets made fast-10 to 20 minutes- if left unattended the ice cream would be a brick-i use mine almost every other day-i love ice cream but dont want to get fat-this way i use only a little bit of cream and no eggs-eliminating the high calories/fat of store bought ice cream-the ice cream i make myself is incredible because i can use real fruit-davinci sugar free flavoring and also low carb candy and chocolates-yum yum-if you want an inexpensive-yet very effecient ice cream maker-that serves 2-4 people-this is the one to buy!!!!

We have used this Braun juicer for over 10 years and are happy with it's performance. Looks like another reviewer got a misused hand me down and decided to do a review hah! This product excells at its function as a small batch juicer for a couple or small family. Extraction is good pulp is dry. The small form factor fits even small kitchens. Clean up is simple rinse parts under tap put in dish washer or hand wash,done. Cord stores in unit.

Low yield and much cleaning make this juicer a loser!
I received this juicer as a hand-me-down from a friend who had decided juicing was not for her. After using this juicer, I can see why she would make that decision.
As with other centrifugal juicers, the juice yield with this product is low, especially with anything other than fruits such as apples, lemons, and cucumbers. The leftover pulp is practically dripping with juice, but even if you pass it back through the juicer, you cannot get that juice out.
Also, to claim that this product is simple to clean is just wrong. The way that it ejects the pulp leaves a mess of pulp on almost every component. There are about five parts to wash every time you make juice.
Finally, the spout is so close to the counter that you can't really get a decent sized tumbler under the spout.
To put it simply: don't buy this juicer.

Overseas Use Only Frigidaire FD5121 Stainless Steel Hand Mixer with Bowl, 220 Volts

Read Labels Carefully
This product has a nice look but be careful if you are purchasing it from the US. It says non USA Compliant Model which means it will not work in your American kitchens. If your house is wired for 220 volts then you are safe to use it.

How not to design and hand/stat mixer
It is described as a stainsteel mixer with a bowl. The bowl is stainless the mixer is cheap plastic The bowl rotates only by hand and it is difficult to turn it.. The bread hooks are too short to handle bread dough. The mixer starts smoking when making bread dough. The mixer stand has no lift. You have to remove the mixer from the stand to get the bowl free. And wow it has a British plug which requires an expensive plug converter. The European two prong plug is the one that wall sockets will accept universally.

I bought 220 volt version because 110 volt hand stand mixer cannot beat bread dough. This mixer was too weak to even meet that consideration.

The only good part is that Amazon makes it easy to get a refund.

Eze-Lap Sharpeners G Diamond Butcher Steel

This purchase was to replace an EZE Lap that we had for over ten years. Made the mistake of loaning out the original and didn't get it back. We couldn't be without it so ordered a new one as soon as we could. Good while it lasts...
This refrigerator is being sold under a variety of different brand names. I actually bought a FranklinChef version from Living Direct 2 1/2 years ago. Its was doing a great job but stopped working fairly suddenly. The problem is that almost no one will service the fridge becasue parts aren't available for Franklin Chef--which went bankrupt shortly after I bought the fridge. One place said they would use equivalents but a reputable place said that it's important to use exactly the right part, not just some generic knock off.
When I asked a number of repair services whether they service Edgestar they said they didn't either.
So, if you buy this keep in mind that you probably aren't going to be able to get it repaired.
It's interesting that Edgestar is owned by, and only sold by, CompactAppliance which is part of Living Direct. If you are considering buying a the New Leaf Service Pro warranty offered by Compactappliance and Amazon, note that New Leaf was only started in...

Feel Good Live Well Personal Blender with Multi-Functional Stainless Steel Blade

Amazing for price
I picked up one of these for $13! At the local grocery store. For that price, this is a deal.

We also own the magic bullet. But needed one while on vacation. Obviously not as good and not good for ice, but fine for kale and Banana smoothies.

Burns out too quickly...after few usages~
I wrote an extensive review of this product prior to this. It just is not durable. Smells like burning plastic on first usage. Disappointing! And I gave as gifts!

use of personal blender
I ordered this blender on April 2nd and received it on April 5th. I loved the size for making smaller servings. It blended fruits into the smoothies just fine, but on the 17th of May it quit working and I hoped that it would function a lot longer than this. It worked much better than another one I have, but it is still working and this one stopped.

Hamilton Beach Juice Extractor with 140 Watts of Power

An average product
You'd need to cut the apples into small pieces before you can extract the juice. A good value for money however, would not recommend this for daily and frequent use.

I don't like it!
I returned this item because it broke the first week I bought it. I previously bought one similar to this product but a little different model which I had since the 80's. Also, it required using an entire 1lb bag of carrots to get one 8oz glass of juice. I am still looking to purchase a new one.

220 Volt Braun Juicer Citrus "WILL NOT WORK IN THE UNITED STATES"

The last model MPZ lasted 10 years!
Note, this rating of 5 stars was for the last model of juicer by Braun, the MPZ-6 model. I wish this newer model was USA compliant bc. the last juicer I had by them lasted 10 years. It was so easy to clean with just water, sturdy, & reliable. It didn't break the bank either. Ho Hum.. I'll have to find another brand. If you are looking at this model, and compliance isn't an issue, I would put my bets on this.

Excellent kitchen appliance by Braun it's a real shame they're no longer available in the U.S.A.
I actually was lucky enough to find the last few of these machines in new condition that are actually 120 volts (that WILL work in North America) and so far so good (I got it on 12.N0V.2011). My juicer was manufactured in Spain (if anyone is concerned with the country of manufacture). The machine is easy to wash and clean and it's made up of the motor base, the juice container, dust cover, handle lid, cone, and the top lid. All parts are safe to put in the dishwasher except the motor base, of course, but if the motor base gets dirty I just wipe it clean with a cloth. The machine has the option to slide the juice container upward (for less pulp) or downward (for pulp). I'm guessing this place is pretty much the only option you have if you wanted one that is in new condition, the price I paid for mine was almost the same as this one ($50 USD total). This is a great machine and so far I would recommend it.

Proctor-Silex 41331 Easy Morning 12-Cup Coffeemaker with Brew Strength Selector, White

Does what it's made to do....perfectly.
Design - Very nicely designed, the carafe has a nice wide handle and a *removable* flip up lid for easy cleaning in the sink OR in the microwave. (To correct what was reported by another review earlier..) The brew basket locks in place when closed on my unit and I have no problem removing the carafe full of coffee from the machine without accidentally opening the brew basket, so the other reviewer who implied a general flaw to the basket design is likely facing a flaw in their particular unit. The basket is removeable for cleaning as well.

Brew Time - What I'd expect, brewing starts as soon as the switch is flipped and within a few minutes you can "pause n serve" a cup, during pause and serve brew basket does not drip (so long as you replace the carafe in time to prevent the brew basket from overflowing)

Coffee -- It brews the coffee as you would expect,I have the brew strength dial set to the highiest level and at that setting the "Bustello" coffee I use is...

Great Basic Coffee Machine
After a series of cheap coffee makers I decided to upgrade just a bit. I didn't need the timer function so this seemed like the machine for me. It makes a wonderful pot of coffee (with plain tap water) and makes 2 or 3 cups just as well. Coffee is made as fast as I need it to be and the "interrupt fuction" works well. It must be remembered that the catch or latching device is at the TOP RIGHT of the coffee basket (where it meets the body of the unit), so when you close the basket just an extra nudge to the top and it closes nice and tight. Important when you pull the pot out to get a cup halfway through the cycle.
The on/off switch is in a most convenient spot. The coffee basket is very easy to remove for dumping or cleaning. The numbers inside the water tank are very easy to see. The "brew - strength" dial has not been tested 'cause I just take it strong. Importantly I can make great coffee when I am still half asleep in the morning--a BIG plus. I would...

Coffee drinkers
First off, for the price of the product it is great. You have to experiement with it a bit to find the right brew for you. There is a dial on the top of the coffee maker, once you find the right setting, the coffee is good. But if you are a coffee dependant in the mornings before work, I'd suggest first trying it out a few time on a weekend to ensure that on Monday morning you get that great cup o' Joe to start off your day/week right. After a test period, the machine performs at a high level. Good luck...

I got this as a Christmas gift less than 6 months ago. I use it on a daily basis between corn tortilla dough, cake and cornbread batter, grating cheese, meats and veggies, frosting and fondant mixing. I have had NO problems with this mixer, it performs very well every time and I've never had the motor stall. I just ordered the mill and ice cream making attachments after finding the grating attachment so useful. I am a professional chef/baker and this product is used in my student kitchen at the university as well.

Heavy Duty WIDE bowl, 575 Watts power
I bought my mixer from Costco, i bought this model because of the wattage and the big bowl. It has served me well. I have used it to make bread doughs, cookies, cheese cake, pizza dough, I love this machine, its very powerful. You'll love it too! I had a Jenn Aire Mixer, but i burned it up. This mixer handles everything wonderfully.

I have an old kitchen aid from when they were made be Hobart. It's a pretty good machine. It's lasted a long time. The new ones, and I have a lot of experience with them, are not really good machines. Any stiff dough, i.e pizza, bread, pasta, will break the machine. metal filings will come out and fall all over. ..What are these mixers for? Only cake batter and whipped cream? It does not make sense to me to put out a product that is not able to do what it was designed to do. I would think that this kind of a mixer is mostly sold to avid cooks. I can rarely get 6 months out of one before it breaks down. I have to learn to never make pasta in them. They just can't handle it. And that is after using at least a dozen different ones. It is not just one defective one.

Vinotemp 58-Bottle Wine Cooler, Stainless/Black

Attractive, spacious, easy to set up but, a bit noisy
I am using this wine cooler as a free standing unit. I'm not sure what bottles they use to get the "58" capacity but, it does hold more than I need to store. The only reason I could not give it 5 stars is that the compressor is noisy. Since it sits in the home office, I just shut the door. If I had this free-standing in the kitchen, the family would protest. I don't know if installed as a built-in, the noise would be reduced. A friend has an Electrolux model and it's much quieter but to be fair, the Electrolux cost almost twice as much.

CBTL Kaldi 9909 Single-Cup Brewer Espresso, Coffee and Tea Bundle, Black

Doesn't Last Long!
I bought this as gift for my fiance in December. It worked pretty well for the first month or so then we started having problems. Here is is, just 4 months later, and it has completely stopped working. That would be fine except not only will Amazon not replace it or return it, neither will Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. I didn't expect this product to quit working so soon after purchasing or I never would have gotten it.
If I had to do it over, I would look closely at the return details and probable would have spent more to get a Nespresso instead.

That's what you will get if you order the Kaldi directly from CBTL. If you order the Kaldi from Amazon, you get a sleeve of House Brew Coffee, a sleeve of Espresso Premium, and a sleeve of English Breakfast Tea.

I contacted CBTL directly to find out if I could purchase a sampler of the capsules so I could try all the varieties, but they do not sell the samplers without the purchase of a machine from their site.

A search on Amazon and at CTBL yields no results for hot chocolate beverage capsules. Have been watching this unit at a full service Marriott Hotel ( took a picture of make and model ). I stayed at the hotel for a couple of month. First the chef needed some time to get used to it. I noticed that the Omelette's came out just as fine..I actually like them better this way. They look a little fluffier. Cooking time is about the same - may be a little longer than with portable gas cookers. The chef used to switch out a couple of the gas cans every morning...this cooker ( they have 2 per station ) must save the hotel a couple of hundred bucks in gas cans every months...they have their money back in 1-2 months..

Stay away from this coffee urn and from the WEBrestaurant Store
This coffee urn and this vendor are both bad news. While the coffee urn is a knockoff of the discontinued Farberware coffee urn which was stainless steel on both the outside and the inside, this one is aluminum on the inside. The small well at the bottom of the urn that the tube that carries the water to the top sits in has some kind of black rubber lining, not metal. After 2 uses there were small black flakes floating in the water and when cleaning the inside we could see why - they were flaking off the lining of the well. I called the company and was told that if I had read the return policy I would know that items can only be returned for a refund if they haven't been used, at the buyer's expense, and with a 20% restocking fee. I explained to the person I spoke with that I wouldn't have known there was a problem if I hadn't used it, and it had only been used twice, but got nowhere. Regal Ware 12-55 cup stainless steel percolator urn
We purchased this urn for our annual tea. We do not use it for coffee, just for hot tea. We have an annual Mothers' Tea which is quite nice and it helps to have a very lovely refill urn not too far from where we fill the teapots. Factory Reconditioned KitchenAid RRHM5WH 5-Speed Ultra Power Hand Mixer, White

One beater broke - KitchenAid made it good!!!
I bought this mixer 6 months and 2 weeks ago. One of the beaters won't go in all the way - so I can only beat things with one beater. I tried to get it fixed under the warranty - because it is over 6 months - NO GOOD! But, I did buy it with my American Express credit card and they double the warranty!!! Long story short... American Express is giving me back my purchase price and you can be sure I won't buy this model. I am planning on purchasing a different model with Kitchen Aid because of their normally good quality products!! Hope I won't get burned again!

KitchenAid made it good. They sent me another reconditioned hand mixer and it works perfectly!!! I will buy KitchenAid products from now on!!! Powerful little thing!
This hand mixer works very well, packing a bigger punch than something you'd get for less $$. Worth it if you're mixing a lot of cookie dough, or other thick batters.

I wish it came with whisk attachments that processed the food in a more efficient way -- you really have to maneuver these around to mix something thoroughly, probably because they aren't as vicious as flat-edged whisk attachments.

Still, the thing never bogs out, and came in like-new order. A good price for a solid appliance.

Good value
I've had this reconditioned mixer about 6 months with absolutely no problems. It's great for mashing potatoes and any other mixing you'd do with a hand mixer. I bought it because the cost was about the same as many of the cheaper imported models. Even comes with a Warranty, so I think it's a good value. This mixer has five speeds and push button beater blade ejection. The slanted angle of the mixer makes it very easy to use. I recommend it.

Ronco Brushed Nickel Rotisserie

2nd one we have owned
We love this rotisserie, food comes out well cooked and moist. Have to have one and can't live without it.
I highly recommend this model.

This is my second one - love them
Bought the first one off a video infomercial and just loved the flexibility it gave us when cooking. After years of use, it finally started to show some wear and tear. We decided to get a second one. We use this at least once a week. My favorite meat to cook is chicken although burgers and ribs do well in it as well. If we were more adventurous eaters I'm sure we'd have many more uses for this.

My only knock is that taking food out is a bit of a challenge. You are supplied with heavy duty gloves but removing the rotating spears can be a pain due to the extreme heat.

Electric Water Kettle Color: Black

Disappointed, as inside this kettle has plastic too
I was looking for a stainless steel or glass kettle to avoid having hot water in contact with plastic. However, the inside of this kettle seems also covered in plastic, which defeated the purpose of buying a stainless steel kettle. This is why I was disappointed. Otherwise, it's stylish, holds a lot of water, and works well. also, something which is not apparent from the photos, it has a base and hence the kettle detaches, which is convenient to refill. I wish Alessi had made a stainless steel kettle all around, but I am afraid even this one has water in contact with plastic.

Too bad
Searched high and low for an electric kettle not made in China. Ordered this after reading some blogs that their kettles are made in Italy. Apparently not all of them as this one is not - only discovered the fact after receiving it in the mail, poring through every document and inspecting the box closely to discover the truth in size 2 font on an equally tiny sticker. I have no problems with items made in China (hey, my mac products are!) but $200 for a designer kettle with a plastic interior and chintzy stainless steel exterior? Come on. 2 stars because I blame myself for not reading between the lines (no mention anywhere online of its proud country of origin) and because it looks good.
